New Heavens And A New Earth  Plus More--Open Highlighted Links For More Details.

For, behold, I create new heavens and a new earth: and the former shall

not be remembered, nor come into mind. There Are Many Commentators.

Here’s The First One. Then You Can Compare As Many As You Like.

Isaiah 65:17 (17) Behold, I create new heavens The thought reappears in many forms

in the Testament—verbally in 2Peter 3:13; Revelation 21:1, substantially in the “restitution

of all things” (Acts 3:21), in the “manifestation of the sons of God” Open Future Glory
Main Verses Are Rom 8-18 to 23: 18- consider that our present sufferings are not

comparable to the glory  that will be revealed in us.

19W/S The creation waits in eager expectation for the revelation of the sons of God.

20 For the creation was subjected to futility, not by its own will, but because of the One

Who subjected it, in hope… 21 that the creation itself will be set free from its bondage to

Decay and brought into the glorious freedom of the children of God.

22 W/S We know that the whole creation has been groaning together

in the pains of childbirth until the present time.

23 Not only that, but we ourselves, who have the first fruits of

the Spirit, groan inwardly as we wait eagerly for our adoption as sons, the redemption

of our bodies.…

The “former things,” the sin and sorrow of the past, shall then fade away from the

memory of God’s people, absorbed in the abounding and everlasting joy.

From Ellicott's Commentary for English Readers And Others.

Also There Is

2Peter 3:13;  (13) Nevertheless we, according to his promise.—“Nevertheless” is too

strong, and the emphasis is on “new,” not on “we.” But new heavens and a new earth,

whereindwelleth righteousness, we look for, according to His promise.

(Comp. Revelation 21:1.) On the repetition of “look for,” three times in three verses,

see above on 2Peter 2:7. The promise of the new heavens and new earth is given in

Isaiah 65:17Isaiah 66:22.There are two words for “new” in Greek; one looks forward,

young” as opposed to “aged;” the other looks back, “fresh” as opposed to “worn out.”

It is the latter word that is used. here and in Revelation 21:1-2. Both are used in

Matthew 9:17, but the distinction is not marked in our version—“

They put new wine into fresh wine-skins.”

Chapter 21.2001 Bible Translation with built in commentary.

1 Well at that, I saw new skies and new lands, because

the previous skies and lands had disappeared, as had the seas.

2 I also saw the Holy CityNew JeruSalem, stepping down out of the

sky from God, prepared like a bride who had been adorned for her man.

3 Then I heard a loud voice from the throne say:
‘Look! The Tent of God is with mankind! He’s going to pitch His Tent

among them, then they’ll be His people and He’ll be their God.

4 He’s going to wipe all the tears from their eyes and there won’t be any

more death, mourning, wailing, or pain, because all that once was will

 be gone!’

5 And the One who was sitting on the throne said: ‘Look! I’m making

everything new!’ And he added:
‘Write this down, because these words are faithful and true.’
